Wild at Art Festival
The Squamish Wild at Art Festival is an annual event that showcases and celebrates the arts, culture and heritage of Squamish and the Sea to Sky corridor. The festival includes art exhibitions and installations, concerts and theatre, hands-on workshops, movies, food, and a street party. The festival offers activities for children, families and people of all ages at venues along the Sea-to-sky highway, from Britannia to the Callahan Valley. In 2008, festival events will take place at the BC Museum of Mining in Britannia Beach, the Nordic Centre in the Callahan Valley (just South of Whistler), downtown Squamish, and the West Coast Railway Heritage Park. Other venues include local restaurants, the Squamish library, and other local businesses. Going in to its 5th year, the 2008 festival will run from March 14 – 23rd. In 2010 it will run the full 17 days of the Olympics. For a complete festival program and more details visit our website: www.wildatart.ca
