  • Are you looking for a long term, leadership volunteer role which allows you to utilize and improve your project management skills whilst supporting a great cause?

    Relay For Life is a unique community event where local heroes come together for 12 hours of fun, friendship and fundraising, and build hope for a future where no Canadian fears cancer. We are currently recruiting leadership

  • As a volunteer, you:

    - must be eager to learn, energetic and have a basic knowledge of computers

    - will help others learn web-based technology

    - refer people to other community services

  • We are currently recruiting a Health Promotion Champion for the Squamish Relay For Life in June 2012 to ensure that Canadian Cancer Society health promotion messaging and activities are incorporated into all aspects of the Relay experience to help increase public education and awareness. This includes working with the Event Chairs to ensure that health promotion is integrated into each area (

  • The Beer Garden Coordinator is responsible for:
    • Arranging for required permits
    • Coordinating beer supply, including purchase, pick-up, delivery
    • Coordinating and scheduling volunteers for bar service, ticket sellers and bar backup
    • Coordinating set up of beer garden including tables, tents, chairs, ice, and all required bar items

  • The Sponsorship Sales & VIP Lounge Host is responsible for:
    Sponsorship Sales
    • Contacting new/potential sponsors and attempt to sell Sponsorship for this year’s festival (main part of job)
    • Working with Sponsorship Coordinator to collect monies from sponsors who have not yet paid
    • Assisting Sponsorship Coordinator with delivery of sponsorship benefit

  • The Squamish Days Committee is looking for people interested in
    volunteering at specific weekend events. These positions require less
    time commitment (4-6 hours).

    • Bed Race Volunteers - Friday, August 3rd
    • Kid's Sports Volunteers - Saturday, August 4th
    • Loggers Sports Timers - Saturday, August 4th and
  • The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for:
    • Recruiting volunteers for various weekend events
    • Assisting with organization of volunteer appreciation party
    • Creation and updating of volunteer handouts and information
    • Assist with collecting prize donations for volunteer appreciation party

  • The Children’s Sports Coordinator is responsible for:
    • Getting approval from the District to use Stan Clarke Park for the event
    • Meeting with the District Liaison for Stan Clarke Park
    • Arranging entertainment, games, activities, and decorated bike/stroller contest
    • Coordinating 6‐8 volunteers to assist with running of event
    • Contacting Squamish Fire
